We were seated promptly, which was a great start. The table did have some crumbs on it, but we wiped it down ourselves. Our server came over right away with water and took our drink orders, and we also put in an order for appetizers. There was a bit of a mix-up with drinks, we ordered Turkish tea but received coffee instead. When we mentioned it, the waitress insisted we had ordered coffee, so we just kept it since we didn’t mind. The appetizers came out very quickly, which was a plus. After that, we ordered our mains, but unfortunately the wait was over an hour. When we asked about it, we were told there was a large party in the restaurant. Totally understandable, but it would have been helpful to know beforehand that the wait would have been so long, especially since we were dining with a toddler who was getting pretty restless. When the food finally arrived, the staff were very apologetic, and to be fair, the food was very good and worth the wait. Noise level was quite loud for a Saturday afternoon but the party could have contributed to this. Overall, a decent experience with good food, but better communication around wait times would have made a big difference.

A couple friends and I decided to check out the Iftar buffet at Sultan Ahmet Turkish Cuisine in Ajax. The restaurant is clean and staff were attentive to our needs. The buffet had good selections of kebabs, meats, veggies, salads and breads. A few drink and dessert options if you still have room left! The Turkish tea was great to wash down the heavy meat loaded meal. At $35 per head after 7:30pm, this was a good experience!!

We had a great time at Sultan Ahmet—they finally opened in Ajax after such a long wait! I’d give four stars for the food and atmosphere, but a full five stars for the service. This Turkish gem truly impressed us with its incredible hospitality. We ordered the chicken soup, lahmacun, chicken shish kebab dinner, and extra rice, followed by the San Sebastian cheesecake for dessert. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous (though a bit on the pricey side). The soup even came with bread, which was a nice surprise. The only downside was that the soup arrived after our main dishes, which felt a bit out of order. That said, the service completely made up for it. The servers were attentive, friendly, and highly professional. It’s rare to experience such thoughtful and efficient service. A special thank you to Manal for the warm and welcoming experience—we’ll definitely be coming back because of it!

We came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. The service was fantastic and food was amazing. They gave us free bread + hummus to start. We ordered the sultan special for 2 and a spinach pie. The meat in the sultan special was juicy and portions are large. It can easily feed 3. The spinach pide was delicious as well and freshly made. I would definitely come back here!

We went for the breakfast buffet and overall it was a good experience. The food was fresh and there were quite a few options to choose from. The shredded potato was one of the best, and the omelette and scrambled eggs were also pretty good. The only thing that didn't make sense was that none of the food items were labeled. I've never seen a buffet without labels. If someone hasn't tried Turkish food before, they wouldn't know what they're eating. And for people with allergies, labeling is extremely important. Adding labels would make the whole experience much better. Other than that, the food quality was solid and everything tasted fresh.
