Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! This baklava was a textural and flavour masterpiece, showcasing the best of what this classic dessert has to offer - without being too sweet. The delicate layers of phyllo dough collapse with minimal pressure - flaky and buttery - contrasting the nutty pistachio filling. The bottom was soaked in a mellow sugar syrup, adding moisture and a restrained sweetness. Exquisite Lakerda as well.

My favourite Turkish supermarket in Toronto, hands down. There’s truly no other place like it. The store is spotless, beautifully organized, and always feels welcoming. The variety is unbelievable from Turkish ingredients to ready made foods and all the little products from back home, they have everything. Whenever I’m craving authentic Turkish flavors or need something special for cooking, this is the only place I go. An absolute gem!
