Today was my first time visiting this Turkish restaurant, my partner actually brought me here. We’re originally from a different country and have never really tried Turkish food before, so I was honestly a little unsure at first about what to expect. But from the moment we walked in, the vibe and service were amazing. Complimentary bread was so good and also the tea. And the biggest shoutout to Ismail! He truly made our first experience so special. We don’t eat beef and only prefer chicken, and he patiently explained everything, helped us understand the menu, and recommended dishes that would suit us. He was so kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we enjoyed our food. And wow… everything he suggested was so, so, so delicious. Like beyond our expectations. If it wasn’t for Ismail guiding us, our first Turkish food experience wouldn’t have been this perfect. Definitely coming back again! 🤍💙 And please try Tres Leches Cake, its home made and its the best tres leches cake I ever had.

This review is more like 4.5 stars. Came here before a show and wanted to try it due to all the positive reviews. We booked a table but honestly you don’t need to do it unless you’re a large party. The food here was delicious and plentiful! There were lots of options on the menu and every dish we got was great. Where I felt a bit confusing was the menu descriptions weren’t always accurate. When ordering, the staff member clarified what came with some of the dishes and it varied from what was indicated on the menu. For example, one of the dishes we ordered is served with sour cream but isn’t indicated anywhere on the menu. The service was also great, we felt attended to (although the restaurant was pretty empty at the time so it’d be surprising if it wasn’t good). The only other note I have is that we thought it was a nicer restaurant as it’s decorated nicely; however, it gives a bit more cafeteria vibes as there is a part of the restaurant designed for takeout and delivery orders with what looks like those deli meat bars. The kitchen is also out in the open so you can watch them cook. Not necessarily a criticism, but something to note if you’re looking for something more formal. Other than that, we’d definitely come back as the food, service and portion size were worth the price.

I had the opportunity to dine at Turquoise Restaurant, and I honestly don’t know where to start.. Being the only Turkish restaurant downtown, I really wanted to give it a try, especially as someone familiar with the cuisine. The food was amazing, authentic, flavorful, and more than enough in terms of portion size. Everything was tasty and very filling. We had the lentil soup, chicken broth soup, and Adana kebap as our main, and every detail felt true to its roots and absolutely delicious. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. Shoutout to Yusuf for taking great care of our table!! The ambiance was warm and inviting, making the whole experience even better. Overall, I’ll definitely be coming back and becoming a regular. Highly recommend it if you’re looking to explore rich, authentic Turkish flavors!!

Turquoise Turkish cuisine made my birthday unforgettable. The food was excellent – fresh, beautifully seasoned, and full of authentic flavor. But what truly elevated the night was the hospitality. Sivan, our host, treated us with genuine warmth from the moment we arrived when he learned it was my birthday, the entire staff joined in: they turned off the lights, lit a candle, and brought out a dessert while singing, happy birthday. It was thoughtful, joyful, and personal I love feeling, celebrated, well fed, and eager to return. A wonderful experience all around. My sisters and I are from the US. I highly recommend this place, if you are in downtown Toronto please visit them.

I recently visited Turquoise Restaurant, and it was honestly one of the best Turkish dining experiences I’ve had. Everything from the quality of the ingredients to the flavors and presentation was outstanding. The food truly tasted authentic, exactly like what you’d expect at a top restaurant in Istanbul. It genuinely felt like a mini trip to Turkey. The portions are very generous Each main dish is easily enough for two people, making it both filling and great value. The restaurant has a very calm, elegant, and relaxing vibe. Perfect for a date night, a gathering with friends, or hosting guests. The staff were professional, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back to try their breakfast, and I’ll be sharing that experience as well. For me, this restaurant has officially made it onto my list of favorite restaurants in the city. 🇹🇷 If you’re looking for an authentic Turkish food experience, exceptional quality, and the feeling of a short getaway to Turkey without leaving Toronto, I highly recommend trying this place at least once.
