What diners say
Reviews via GoogleOutstanding recovery! From disappointment to a 5-star experience. I previously shared a negative review about this place, but after the management reached out, I decided to give them another chance with my family and guests from the USA and Italy. I am so glad I did! This time, everything was perfect. We ordered lahmacun, mixed doner, meat doner, and Iskender kebab—the flavors were authentic and delicious, and the service was incredibly fast. A special thanks to the female restaurant manager for her kindness and professional support. Most importantly, Mr. Murat went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His attention to detail was exceptional. To top it off, he treated us to delicious cold baklava and tea after our meal, which my international guests absolutely loved! It’s rare to see a business take accountability and improve so significantly. They have officially regained my trust, and we will definitely be returning again and again. Highly recommended!
The flavours of each dish popped and the portions were plentiful. We had the chef's mixed grill dinner for two along with the signature salad. The complimentary pide bread was soft and delicious paired exceptionally well with the eggplant salad. A full meal that left us completely satisfied. Finished off with a cleansing hot Turkish tea and a splendid treat of baklava. Fatma did an excellent job ensuring everything we ordered was delivered to our table quickly and professionally. She was pleasant, attentive and very welcoming. Hans checked on our table twice as well which added to the great dining experience.
The first time I visited was for their iftar buffet during Ramadan. The place had a really nice Ramadan vibe and it was completely packed, which I expected. However, the first impression from the host at the front was not great. I tried to ignore it because I understand that it can get overwhelming when the restaurant is busy. Food-wise, there was a decent variety of dishes. Some items were okay, but overall the food didn’t feel very fresh to me, like it wasn’t necessarily made the same day. The buffet line was also extremely busy, which made the experience a bit stressful. What really ruined the experience was the service. Our waitress only came to our table once, and that was just to tell us that there was a one-hour limit, that we needed to pay, and that they needed the table. We felt rushed the entire time and didn’t even get to sit for a full hour. I understand that restaurants can set time limits when they are busy, but usually it’s around two hours on busy nights. Being rushed like that, especially during iftar, made the whole experience very disappointing. Overall, it was a pretty horrible experience for us.
From the moment we walked in, the ambience of this Turkish restaurant felt cozy and beautifully decorated, setting the perfect tone for our meal. Even though the place was packed with some guests even celebrating birthdays the vibe remained warm, lively, and welcoming. And the food! Oh, how I’ve missed authentic Middle Eastern flavors. Every dish was delicious, from my comforting lentil soup to the appetizers served with freshly baked bread, and straight through to the main course. Everything was prepared with such great taste and quality. The service made the experience even better. Fatima, our server, was genuinely kind and attentive, and the manager, who offered us complimentary tea while we waited for our bill, was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Overall, we left full, satisfied, and happy. This is the first restaurant in Canada that truly won me over, and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place to my friends and anyone craving authentic Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine.
The quality of the food was low. As an experienced Turkish food lover, I can say that their dishes do not taste like authentic Turkish cuisine. The flavors are more Middle Eastern, similar to Lebanese food, but prepared in a Turkish style. Also, their cooks were not Turkish. I would not try this place again because it does not serve authentic Turkish cuisine.
