Tucked away on the vibrant Gerrard Street is Pizza Pide, a cozy corner spot that truly delivers more than just great food. I had the chance to try their delicious pides, and honestly, I’d take these over pizza any day. The crust was perfectly baked, the toppings generous, and the flavors incredibly rich — a true taste of Turkish comfort food. What made the experience even more memorable was the warm service. The Turkish lady at the counter, who was serving with such grace and attentiveness, truly stood out. She ensured everything was fresh, hot, and up to quality standards, going above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant experience. Her genuine hospitality and professionalism brought a personal touch that’s rare to find. Places like this don’t just serve good food — they leave you with a lasting impression. It’s because of her kindness and the welcoming vibe that I’d happily return again and again. Whether you’re craving something new or want to explore Turkish cuisine, this spot is a gem worth visiting.

Tried two of the pide, which were both tasty. One had an assortment of toppings, and the other had sausage (sucuk) and egg. I think the spinach and cheese (beyaz peynir, i.e. white cheese, I think) on the mixed pide was my favourite, followed by the lamb.

UPDATE: Their pizza is really bad. Tomato paste is dominant. You can not taste any other ingredients! I do recommend their pide while their pizza is the worst. Maybe Turkish people like pizza with a lot of tomato paste, but I really don't. ORIGINAL: The exterior doesn't tell you how delicious the food will be. Just go in and try one of the Pides. We tried number 11, 18, and 20 from menu. All of them were great. One better than others. This is definitely one of the spots that I will visit frequently in future. The price is affordable and the food is extremely yummy.

Great Turkish pizza. Less bread and more toppings and cheese. Way Better than the standard NY pizza. Food is delicious. Try number 18 Pide which is their assorted toppings in a boat shaped pizza with folded sides. All toppings are delicious! The baklava is also pretty good.

If you would like to have a lahmacun that you used to eat back home in Turkey, this is the place. They have very good portions. We got four lahmacuns for four people we could not finish all. The garnishes are very good as well. The service was very friendly. I appreciated very bite!
