The restaurant is run by a family whose origins are from Mardin, Turkey. The food is as great as it gets, and the hosts are lovelier than anyone I’ve ever met. Highly recommended!

Mardin Restaurant delivered an absolutely amazing experience! The dishes were fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic flavor. The kelle paça soup was outstanding — perfectly seasoned, rich, and comforting. It’s been a long time since I’ve had one this good. The mumbar dolması deserves special praise as well. It truly felt like the first time I’ve tasted such a well-made mumbar dolması in Toronto. The flavor, cleanliness, spice balance, and texture were all spot-on — simply excellent. The kebabs and mezze also reflect the true taste of Mardin cuisine. Portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and professional. Service is quick, and everything is prepared with great care. It’s a place you can comfortably visit with family or friends. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! 👌🇨🇦

I think this might be the best meal I’ve eaten in this area. Incredible Kurdish/Mesopotamian food! I came here around brunch time because I had work starting around noon, and got the menemen (which came with bread) and also got the spinach and cheese golzeme. It took a while to make, because I think there was only one lady in the kitchen making the meal perhaps from scratch. And I could see a huge stove fire going which must be how they achieved such rich flavour. I’ve tried similar dishes at the Michelin-star Mama Fatma, which I enjoyed a lot, but I think I liked this place even more. Makes me want to go visit Mardin. They gave me a free tea too and it was so good! I’ve been dreaming of the food since that meal. Hope to be back soon!

A fantastic spot for Turkish takeout! The staff went above and beyond, even helping carry the trays to our car. The food was very fresh, with generous portions. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!
