Istanbul Doner is one of those spots that keeps things simple and gets it right. The food hits. Good portions, fair prices, and you don’t walk away feeling like you overpaid for hype. I went with the rice and doner plus a dip. Everything came out solid, no complaints. It’s filling without being heavy, which is harder to pull off than it sounds. The setup is pretty relaxed. You grab your own drinks, nothing fancy, but it works for the kind of place it is. The service was friendly without being over the top. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense meal in a welcoming environment, it’s worth the stop.

Such a misleading name as it sounds like a Doner spot when it actually is a great place for authentic Turkish food with a full menu. The restaurant was clean and inviting with Ample seating, a bit cozy but didn’t feel cramped. The servers were busy but tended the tables efficiently. There were 4 of us and we were hungry. We ordered the mix platter for 2 and a couple of Lamb Chop platters. The food was served in a very reasonable time and tasted great. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and the bread was hot and fresh. The Adana Kebabs, shawarma and all items on the platter were equally as good. The Trelece dessert was moist and well made but a touch sweeter than I expected. The Turkish tea was a perfect finish to our meal. The portions were more than enough for the us. Definitely recommended.

I had an amazing experience at Istanbul Doner! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The donair was packed with juicy meat, crisp veggies, and just the right amount of sauce, making every bite satisfying. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was just right. The service was quick, and the overall atmosphere was clean and inviting. If you’re craving authentic, tasty donair with great service, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. Highly recommended!

Absolute nightmare experience and a severe health hazard. I ordered a Beef Doner to go on May 9, 2026, at 5:22 PM. Halfway through eating my wrap, I bit into something completely inedible and pulled out a massive, long strip of thick plastic wrap that had been tightly rolled and cooked directly inside the meat. It was a severe choking hazard and incredibly unhygienic. We spoke to the owner and showed him the clear, indisputable photos of the plastic embedded inside the wrap right from my phone. Instead of taking accountability, apologizing, or offering a basic refund for serving contaminated food, he was completely dismissive and showed zero respect to a paying customer. Because of the dangerous food preparation standards and the total lack of accountability from management, I am officially reporting this incident to Peel Public Health for a formal food safety inspection. Check your food very carefully if you eat here.

First visit to Istanbul Doner House and I’m impressed. Tried the Chicken Iskender for the first time and honestly loved it. As someone who loves spicy food, I thought Turkish food might be a little mild for me but the flavours were so rich and delicious, I didn’t even need the hot sauce. The lamb chops were tender, juicy, and full of flavour. Loved the complimentary salad, generous portions, and ending the meal with Turkish tea. Special mention to Saba for the lovely service . She was so warm, helpful, and made the experience even better 💛 Great food, great portions, and great service. Definitely worth visiting!
