Helvaci Ali (Turkish) was such a pleasant surprise. From the moment you try the desserts, it’s clear this isn’t just another dessert café—there’s real care and expertise behind everything they serve. We ordered a mix of desserts and drinks, and not a single item disappointed. The kunafah was perfectly done—crispy, warm, and filled with soft cheese, with just the right level of sweetness. The Dubai chocolate helva stood out with its rich chocolate flavor and smooth texture, making it feel indulgent without being too heavy. Both the classic cheesecake and the Biscoff cheesecake were excellent—light, creamy, and well-balanced, with the Biscoff flavor coming through without overpowering the dessert. To pair with the sweets, we tried the caramel ice cream, which was smooth and flavorful, along with a Biscoff latte that was comforting and not overly sweet. The Turkish coffee was strong, authentic, and the perfect way to end everything. Beyond the food, the space was clean and inviting, and the staff were friendly and helpful when recommending items. Portions were satisfying, quality was consistent, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. If you’re looking for authentic Turkish desserts or want to try something different from the usual dessert spots, Helvaci Ali is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be back and would gladly recommend it to others.

I had an amazing experience at Helvaci Ali (Turkish). This place feels truly specialized—not just a random dessert spot. Smooth, not heavy, and perfectly balanced—creamy without being too rich. Overall experience: The quality is consistent, portions are satisfying, and the desserts feel authentic. The menu has a great variety, and pairing desserts with ice cream is a really nice touch. The place is clean and welcoming, and the service was friendly and helpful when choosing what to try. If you’re into Turkish desserts (or want to try something beyond the usual), this spot is absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back—and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality dessert place.

This is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a lively Turkish vibe and a fun time with friends 😊 The Scarborough location in the Lawrence Plaza is a franchise owned by Zunaid, and it offers a great atmosphere and amazing vibes. My friends and I were served by Akram, who was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly, funny, and full of personality. His sense of humor really made our visit even more enjoyable. They also have delicious milk baklava, which is a must-try! I’d definitely recommend this place, and if Akram is around, expect great service with some lighthearted humor!

OMG, this place is on a whole new level! The ambiance is beautiful, the service is exceptional, and the food is absolutely delicious. I visited the Helvaci Ali location in Scarborough on Lawrence, and everything was fresh, flavourful, and 100% halal. Must try is the san Sebastian cheese cake and the pistachio halal. If you love authentic Turkish food—from desserts to traditional dishes—this spot is a must-try. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Scarborough. Highly recommended!

Best kept secret. Helvaci Ali cafe is located at Lawrence ave east where you find tens of restaurants for your unique taste buds. Helvaci Ali is a chain. A growing global chain The Turkish staff at the cashier is super helpful. He is a bit shy but he is good at explaining what the restaurant offers I personally never had simit. I tried it and loved it. I would say it’s sesame pretzel However it’s not the same as pretzel texture. It is softer and lighter. Love it Turkish coffee. The presentation from the picture speaks for itself. Great strong aroma and taste. Finding parking is the issue. The whole strip mall is filled with great comfort food restaurants I am sold and will definitely go back
