Outstanding dessert and coffee spot! Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The desserts are authentic and full of flavor, and the coffee paired perfectly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was excellent, shoutout to Maryam. If you’re looking for a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth or enjoy a coffee, this is a must-check-out. Highly recommend! Lot of parking available here and this plaza has a lot of hidden gems!

My visit to Helvaci Ali - Turkish Dessert Cafe was an experience I’ll genuinely remember for a long time. The desserts were absolutely incredible, rich in flavor, perfectly balanced, and made with obvious care and authenticity. The helva especially stood out to me because it instantly reminded me of the Indian halwa my mummy used to make at home. That nostalgic feeling made the experience even more special and comforting. I also tried the San Sebastian cheesecake and the Dubai cheesecake, and both were amazing. The San Sebastian cheesecake had that perfect soft, creamy texture with a beautifully caramelized top, while the Dubai cheesecake was indulgent, unique, and packed with flavor. Every dessert felt premium and freshly prepared. But what truly made this place stand out was the owner, Zunaid. His hospitality completely changed the experience from just “good desserts” to a place that genuinely feels warm and welcoming. He treats customers with kindness, positive energy, and real care, making everyone feel comfortable the moment they walk in. You can tell he puts his heart into the café. It’s honestly because of Zunaid’s hospitality and the amazing atmosphere that I would love to keep visiting again and again.

If you love traditional desserts remixed with contemporary flavors, Helvaci Ali in Scarborough is well worth a visit. The interior is nicely done, and the service is straightforward and no-fuss. Plus, as a vegetarian, I really appreciated the staff taking the time to confirm the ingredients for us. We tried a double scoop of the Chocolate with Pistachio and the Dubai Chocolate with Lotus, alongside a scoop of traditional Turkish ice cream made from goat milk. All the helva flavors were solid, but the Dubai Chocolate and the Turkish ice cream were the absolute standouts. The ice cream was incredibly nice, and pairing that cool texture with the warm helva is the perfect combo. Highly recommend dropping by if you're in the area!

It was our first time coming here. We tried the classic walnut, chocolate caramel and the Dubai chocolate all with Turkish Maras icecream on the bottom of them… they were AMAZING!. The employee Ozlem was really professional and very informative about the flavours and options. Despite it being super busy, the girls were quick! Thank you ladies for a great experience. We visited Helvaci Ali - Turkish Dessert Cafe at Warden & Lawrence yesterday evening and had a wonderful experience. We tried the Tiramisu Iced Coffee, and it was absolutely delicious - definitely a must-try! The ambience of the shop is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax and spend quality time with family and friends. You could easily spend hours there just enjoying the vibe. A special mention to Ms. Chaima, who served us. She was excellent - very friendly, down to earth, and welcoming. She greeted us warmly and gave great recommendations on what to try, which made our visit even better. Overall, a fantastic experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
