We lived in Turkey for seven years, and this is as close to bringing us back to the tastes and smells of Turkey as you can get. When I told the person working we had lived in Turkey, he made us feel like we were back in Turkey. Highly recommend stopping in here for an. authentic Turkish dining experience and great Turkish hospitality!!

I left The Doner Place with mixed feelings, mainly due to the pricing. We paid $54 for two chicken doners, one ayran, and one lahmacun. For that price, you can easily find a much more decent and upscale atmosphere elsewhere. While the food itself isn't bad, the value for money simply isn't there. The quality of the setting and the overall vibe of the place don't justify these prices. You can get a full meal in many other places that offer a much more comfortable dining experience for the same amount. On a positive note, the establishment is well-maintained and the washrooms are very clean, which is always appreciated. However, it still doesn't feel worth the high cost. It’s okay for a quick bite, but not a great value.

Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Who can resist the sight of juicy, beautifully browned meat rotating on a spit? Endlessly developing more colour, the outermost layer is carefully shaved off and then wrapped with a mildly tangy cheese and a freshly baked lavash. The rich fattiness of the beef is balanced by a tangy tomato and creamy yogurt sauce.

This was my first time here and I ordered their special one week deal of the chicken Doner wrap and sandwich at $5 each. They were both delicious! The sandwich was made with fresh homemade Turkish Doner pide bread and it was fully loaded with juicy chicken. My only wish was it needed extra garlic sauce and the server was kind enough to give me extra! My wrap was delicious too but didn’t have as much chicken as I saw in others being made. But I didn’t want to complain because it was a special deal. Overall service was great and fast considering it was during lunch time on a Tuesday. And there were several of tables to dine in at the restaurant. Warm, friendly ambience too. I made a special trip here through the snow and glad I came!

Donar Palace is a cozy restaurant with seating. It's located in the Greenwood Ave and Gerrard St East area. The menu has lots of variety but tonight I was craving chicken. I ordered one chicken sandwich to stay and 2 chicken wraps to go... In case I get hungry later and brother ask me for one lol. Overall the chicken sandwich is tasty, flavorful, and delicious. The chicken is well seasoned and spiced. The bread is amazing good. Definitely come back again to try the other foods on their. It was like -22 outside so that sandwich I order filled me up and gave energy to go home.
