I really enjoy Gulbay Bakery. Being open 24 hours is a huge advantage, especially when you want something fresh outside regular hours. We bought simit for just 2 CAD, and it was fresh, warm, and very satisfying. They also have baklava, which looked great and tasted authentic, not overly sweet and nicely balanced. On top of that, I noticed they serve kelle paça soup, which is amazing to see since it’s not easy to find this kind of traditional option in the area. Overall, it feels like a genuine neighborhood bakery with a strong Turkish touch. Convenient, affordable, and full of variety. Definitely recommended.

I have been coming here for many years, can’t recommend enough. Especially bagels (simit) and stuffed vine leaves (yaprak sarma) are my kids’ favorites. This place is a gem if you’re looking to sample quality Turkish tastes. Sems Bey is the best.

My husband and I visited Gulbay Turkish Bakery late at night, unsure of what to expect. While the space is cozy with a small eating area there were no seats available so we took our food to go. The bakery itself is charming and also features a variety of Turkish goods, including nuts, jams, cheese, and more. The cashier was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made our experience even better. The food was served hot and was absolutely delicious. A lovely spot for authentic Turkish flavors!
