I had a birthday dinner here last night, and it had one of the best ambience and vibes I’ve experienced in the GTA among Turkish/Lebanese dine-in restaurants. The live music, tea, shisha, and food were the highlights. Overall, a welcoming and memorable experience. That said, customer service needs improvement. Staff should better understand customer needs, take orders more carefully, suggest popular items, and accommodate seating requests when possible. Customers also shouldn’t be pressured to order immediately after being seated, this place’s live-music vibe is meant for people to relax and stay longer. For the owner, you could further elevate the dine-in experience by dimming the lighting and adding chandeliers above each table, reducing wait times during busy hours, and improving staff training for smoother, more attentive service. Also, while the online menu is convenient, a physical menu with pictures would help, the digital menu was hard to navigate, even for the server. Lastly, basic table service was lacking: water wasn’t provided, and glasses were only brought after asking (still fewer than the number of guests), even though it wasn’t busy and many tables were empty. Overall, great experience. Just needs service and operational improvements to match the excellent atmosphere.

Gul Gul is a lively and welcoming spot offering generous portions and rich Middle Eastern flavours. It also offers a warm atmosphere with friendly service and even live music on some nights. The space feels upbeat and is suitable for both casual meals and group gatherings. The menu features a wide range of Turkish and Lebanese dishes. We ordered “Fig Salad” and “Gul Gul Hot Mix Platter” for appetizer; aromatic and fresh. For entrée, we ordered “Mix Pide”, “Gul Gul Special Chicken Shawarma” and “Mix Grill for 2”. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked and beautifully served. We ended our meal with “Turkish Coffee with Baklava” and “Turkish Tea”. From vibes and friendly service to delicious food, Gul Gul offers them all.

If you’re looking for great Middle Eastern food with live music, Gul Gul is the place to go! The portions were generous, the flavors were authentic, and the service was excellent. The live band made the night extra special. The live singer even took the time to sing a song from our country, which was very impressive and made the experience feel so personal. Such a fun and memorable night!

i recently visited this Turkish-Lebanese restaurant with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. The mixed grill platter was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The hummus was fresh and creamy, and the bread was amazing, warm and freshly baked. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating and convenient parking, which made it perfect for a family outing. We’ll definitely be coming

Absolutely loved Gul Gul Turkish Restaurant! The food is full of authentic Turkish and Lebanese flavours. We tried the Adana kebab, Iskender, chicken , Pide and falafel , and their freshly baked Turkish bread everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The mezze platter was generous and so fresh, especially the hummus and ezme. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt cozy and family-friendly. Highly recommended if you’re craving real Turkish food!
